Attempting to put down roots

Lack of posts due to time-out from art-making. Moving to Jamaica Plain with one of my favorite people, Boston comedian Rob Crean (The Rob Crean Show, Anderson Comedy) and resuming work at the beautiful Gardner Museum, where I once spent a year in polyester watching orchids bloom and asking people not to poke the masterpieces. [...]

Return to Boston

After two years of ups and downs in California, I am happy to be back on the East coast and living again in the Boston area. Last week, I took the long way home, driving 3,700 miles. I ate at mom and pop diners, took detours for kitchy attractions, slept at truck stops, and took [...]

“Welcome to SF Mr. Pat”

So, here I am in SF a week sooner than anticipated. I’ve already met a handful of interesting people and I’m working on finding a July sublet (see my previous post for more info.) As soon as I catch my breath and have a place to unpack some boxes, I’ll be back in job [...]

Seeking July Sublet in SF

Working on a site for an independent musician with what I hope to be a great solution for selling digital downloads. I’ll post a how-to once it’s all up and working as advertised.
I’m hoping to land one more freelance editing gig that would keep me in LA an extra week. Either way, I’ll be looking [...]

Onward and Upward

The loveliness of Paris Foxboro seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome Boston is of another day
I’ve been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan Los Angeles
I’m going home to my city by the Bay
I left my heart in San Francisco
High on a hill, it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway [...]

Lately

- Working in radio promotion. I should be impressed by the platinum Aerosmith and Van Halen records on the wall, but I’m more interested in the Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk in the dark corner by the coffeemaker. “The biggest-selling instrumental single in the history of recorded music.” Seriously?
- Listening to Satie
- Learning origami [...]

Working

I’ll be busy for the next 6 weeks doing editing and post for an interesting HD short. In the meantime, I won’t be creating much else or adding content here, other than a photo now and then. Case in point:
